Shots fired in Bonnyrigg

Police have launched an investigation following a shooting in Bonnyrigg last night.

About 10.30pm, officers attached to Fairfield Local Area Command were called to a home on Bishop Crescent, after reports of a shooting.

Inquiries revealed the incident took place sometime between 8pm and 8.30pm, when an unknown person/s fired three shots into the home before fleeing the scene.

Investigators are yet to determine if the shots were fired from a car or if those responsible were travelling on foot.

No one was injured during the incident.

A crime scene has been established at the home and will be examined by detectives and forensic specialists.

While the investigation remains in its early stages, detectives believe it may be a targeted attack.
