A HEADER by Aaron Peterson in stoppage time revived Bonnryigg's premiership hopes as last year's champions prevailed 3-2 against APIA-Leichhardt Tigers.

The White Eagles were on track for an easy victory after Peterson opened the scoring in the ninth minute and the home team were reduced to 10 men on the half-hour mark.

But the visitors were made to work and only secured the win deep into injury time with Peterson's second goal to keep them in third place on the Premier League NSW Mens 1 ladder. With three rounds remaining, Bonnyrigg are now only two points behind the joint leaders and play the second-placed Blacktown City this week.

In the local derby, the points were split with Marconi and Sydney United 58 playing out a 1-all draw.

A Marco Sama penalty in the final minute of normal time restored parity for the Stallions after Mirjan Pavlovic opened the scoring for the Reds midway through the second half in a game they dominated.

The draw leaves Sydney United in 10th place on the ladder on 19 points and Marconi in seventh place on 22 points. This week United play APIA-Leichhardt Tigers, while the Stallions have a date with the table topping Blacktown Spartans.
