Two men have been charged after cannabis plants were found and seized from an industrial complex in Wetherill Park last Friday.
Acting on information received via Crime Stoppers, police from Fairfield Local Area Command commenced inquiries into the alleged cultivation of cannabis on Newtown Road.
About 12.15pm on Friday, July 25, local police and officers from the Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad (RES) executed a search warrant at the unit in the industrial complex.
Inside, police allegedly found a sophisticated hydroponic cannabis setup.
A total of 174 cannabis plants were seized.
Two men, aged 19 and 21, were arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station where they were both charged with enhanced indoor cultivation of plant for commercial purpose.
They were both refused bail.
