A man was charged with three offences after he allegedly damaged a table and confronted police while in custody at Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday.
About 4pm, the 35-year-old man was in a prisoner holding area at Fairfield Local Court when he allegedly ripped the custody table from its hinges.
The magistrate and others left court as the man allegedly ran at police.
A struggle ensued and capsicum spray was used during the man’s arrest.
He was held in custody overnight.
Yesterday, the man was charged with malicious damage, affray and intimidating a police officer.
