Y'ALL better remember the name Genevie Ulanday.

The Mount Pritchard tennis star, 18, has just been accepted on a four-year tennis scholarship at Jacksonville State University in Alabama where she will study graphic design.

She is bracing herself for the Southern hospitality and a high level of tennis when she leaves early next month.

"It's going to be a huge culture shock but I'm really looking forward to it," she said. "I was really excited when I found out. It was a long process and I emailed a lot of schools but I'm glad to go to Jacksonville."

Ulanday, who last year won her fourth consecutive Tildesley schools doubles title, is currently playing on the International Tennis Federation circuit.

Tennis has been a perfect fit for the up-and-coming tennis prodigy.

"I wasn't really into contact sports but I'm a competitive person so tennis was perfect for me. I started playing when I was 6 and I've loved it ever since."
