A man has been charged following a knifepoint robbery of a teenage boy at Cabramatta earlier this year.
About 3pm on Wednesday, May 14, a 15-year-old boy was walking along Vale Street when he was approached by a man from behind.
Police allege the man produced a knife and demanded money from the boy who said he did not have any.
However the boy handed over his mobile phone to the offender.
Cabramatta police were alerted and commenced an investigation.
Following several lines of inquiry, on July 4, investigators attended a home in Anastasio Road, Liverpool and executed a search warrant.
Police seized several items for further forensic examination including a mobile phone and a knife.
A 21-year-old man was later arrested at the home and taken to Cabramatta Police Station.
He was later charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon.
The man has been refused bail.
Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
