Child approached in Cabramatta

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was approached at Cabramatta on Thursday.

About 4.20pm, a 16-year-old boy was walking in a park on Railway Parade when a blue and white sedan drove up slowly next to him.

The male driver asked the teenager if he wanted to get into the vehicle before the boy ran away.

The incident was reported to the boy’s school on Friday and police commenced an investigation.

Officers have released a description of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being Asian in appearance, about 50 years old, with dark brown skin.

He had an obese build, short black hair on the side of his bald head, a black moustache and a short black goatee.

He was last seen wearing a black jumper with white writing on it.

The car has been described as being a blue and white sedan with a possible partial registration plate of ‘BZ’.
