Drug arrest in Northmead

On Monday, a motorist running a red light in Northmead led to more serious charges being laid against him.

At about 5pm, police stopped the driver, a 38-year-old Auburn man, for not stopping at the light in Briens Road.

However, officers searched the vehicle and found 12.8 grams of  methamphetamine, 0.2 grams of heroin, drug equipment, measuring scales and $2500 in cash.
