Club Marconi hosted team members and officials from the 1974 Socceroos squad to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Australia's first World Cup appearance on Saturday.
The reunion dinner was attended by 11 players of the 1974 Socceroos team, 1974 assistant coach Les Scheinflug, Jamie Warren on behalf of the former Socceroos legend Johnny Warren and former Socceroos captain Paul Okon.
Club Marconi president Vince Foti said: "It is very important not to forget where Australia made its international mark in football.
"This is a special night to acknowledge and thank those of the 1974 Socceroos squad."
