Men rob Fairfield hotel armed with machete and handgun

Police are appealing for information after a hotel was robbed at Fairfield this morning.

About 4am on Wednesday, June 4, three men with their faces covered entered a hotel on Hamilton Road armed with a machete and handgun.

The men threatened male staff members, demanding cash.

Staff complied with the trio’s demands and the men left the hotel on foot with money. They were last seen running towards The Crescent.

There were no reports of injury during the incident.

Fairfield police were called to the hotel and established a crime scene.

Detectives would now like to speak to three men who may be able to assist with the investigation.

All three men are described only as wearing hoodies and dark clothing.
