Man commits indecent act near girl at Canley Heights

Police are appealing for information after a man committed an act of indecency near a girl in Canley Heights.

About 3.25pm on Monday 2 June 2014, a 12-year-old girl was walking through a park on George Street when a man stopped near her.

The man committed an act of indecency and reached out to the girl, but she ran away.

The girl informed her mother of the incident and the matter was reported to police yesterday.

Cabramatta police are investigating and would like to speak to a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries into the incident.

The man is described as being of Caucasian in appearance, aged about 25-35, with light skin and black, short hair.

The man was wearing a bicycle helmet, black singlet, black glasses, grey shorts and white sneakers.

He was riding a black and grey bicycle.
