Man in court over multiple graffiti offences

A man will appear in court over graffiti and property damage offences after a search warrant was executed in Guildford West.

On Wednesday April 30, officers attached to the Police Transport Command stopped a 21-year-old man at North Sydney Railway Station.

A camera was found containing images and footage which police will allege in court shows graffiti images.

The camera was seized and the man was released pending further inquiries.

Following investigations, a search warrant was executed at a home in Guildford West yesterday (Thursday 5 June 2014), where a number of items were seized, including clothing and mobile phones.

A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Merrylands Police Station.

He was charged with 16 offences including destroy or damage property, damage/deface property with graffiti implement, possess graffiti implement and additional transport offences.

He was granted conditional bail, to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday 9 July 2014.

Investigations into the incident continue.
