Two 21-year-old men will face court following an alleged robbery and police pursuit at Cabramatta last night.
A 22-year-old man was walking along McBurney Road about 6.30pm yesterday when police allege two men approached and assaulted him.
Officers said he fell to the ground and the men demanded he hand over his money.
The 22-year-old man handed over a small amount of cash and the other two men ran towards Hill Street.
Police patrolling nearby noticed the men running towards a car in Equity Place.
Officers started to follow the car which eventually stopped in Cambridge Street.
The two men were arrested and taken to Cabramatta police station.
One of the men was charged with robbery in company, driving in a dangerous manner, custody of a knife in a public place and not stopping during a police pursuit.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear in Liverpool Local Court today.
The other 21-year-old man was charged with robbery in company and granted bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on July 9.
