HARD work and dedication have paid off for three girls from Sydney West Gymsports in Fairfield West.

Georgia Fragiadakis, 11, Shannon Norton, 13, and Lauren Tisdale, 11, won their respective divisions at the recent NSW state championships.

The trio, who train up to 33 hours a week as part of the elite high-performance gymnastics program, mastered disciplines including vault, beam and bar routines.

Shannon (International Development Program Level 10) and Georgia (International Development Program Level 8) are now set for the national championships in Melbourne this week where they will be joined by teammates Paris McGurk, Jaidyn Bowden and Cassidy Ercole.

For Carramar resident Georgia Fragiadakis it is one step closer to her dream to one day represent Australia in the Olympics.

"I love gymnastics. I have been doing it for five years and it is different to other sports and I really enjoy it," she said.

Sydney West Gymsports had 12 athletes competing across five elite or international divisions at the championships, winning more than 30 state medals.
