LAST year Matt Moylan split his time between the Penrith Panthers' No.1 jersey and the Windsor Wolves' No.1 jersey due to salary cap restraints.

Now, after playing a key role for City Origin in Sunday's City-Country clash he has thrown his name into the ring for the NSW No.1 jumper.

Moylan, 22, was slick in attack and outstanding in defence and produced the play of the game with his deft kick for Josh Reynolds' try.

Moylan and Panthers teammate Jamal Idris (Country) were two of the best on field as City snatched a 26-26 draw in the final seconds.

Moylan used his first representative week to fine-tune his craft.

"It's not only a good chance to test myself at another level but it's a chance to play with different players you don't get to play with and learn from them and get some experience," said Moylan, who's played 21 games in the top grade.

"Ivan [coach Ivan Cleary] told me to enjoy the week and get as much out of it as I could.

"It was a massive shock to get picked!"

There were 11 Penrith players in action across the representative weekend.
