Man charged over Mount Pritchard shooting

Police have charged a man in relation to a shooting in Mount Pritchard last year.

Cabramatta police have been investigating the shooting of a 19-year-old man at a party at Grainger Avenue, about midnight on June 15, 2013.

The man was treated for a non-life-threatening wound to his right thigh and released from hospital.

Strike Force Bolali was later formed to investigate the incident.

About 7.30pm on Monday, detectives attended a home on Jacaranda Crescent at Casula, where they arrested a 19-year-old man.

He was taken to Cabramatta police station, where he was charged with discharging a firearm with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and with being an accessory after the fact.

The man was refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court today. 

Inquiries into the matter are continuing.
