CABRAMATTA High School's senior hospitality students treated school staff to a sophisticated high tea last week.
The students, with the guidance of their teacher, delivered a tasty menu to 40 people.
It included buttermilk scones with berry conserve and cream, roast capsicum crostinis and caramelised eschallot tart with chive and chantilly cream.
Head teacher of home economics, Michelle West, said "Bistro 38" was the culmination of what the students had learnt over the past year.
"The students take responsibility of a specific dish and see it through right to serving to the customers," she said.
Year 12 student Kevin Ho said preparing food for someone else was rewarding.
"I wouldn't even mind getting a career in hospitality now," he said.
