Children approached in Westmead

Police are appealing for information after a man approached a group of children in Westmead on Wednesday.

At about 1.30pm  the man approached the girls, aged between 10 and 11, in a school's grounds in Moree Street.

They said he spoke to them for a short time before walking away in a westerly direction.

The girls reported the incident to a teacher who contacted police.

Holroyd police are investigating and would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance and was wearing a wide-brimmed hat, reflective sunglasses and a dark-coloured jumper.
