Police investigate Fairfield brawl

Police are appealing for information after a brawl at Fairfield left a man with head and facial injuries on Saturday.

About 3am police were called to the car park of a fast food restaurant on Court Street following reports a group of men were brawling.

Upon police arrival, participants dispersed from the area and officers established a crime scene.

Police have been told a group of 10 to 15 men were striking each other with chairs and other objects after a dispute.

A 32-year-old man was knocked unconscious during the incident and taken to Liverpool Hospital with lacerations to his head and facial fractures. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A few hours after the brawl, police arrested three men near the car park. They were taken to Fairfield police station, where they are currently assisting officers with their inquiries.
