A man was hospitalised after being hit with a beer bottle during a robbery Fairfield on Saturday.
About 2.30pm a 48-year-old man was walking through a park on Vine Street when he was approached by a man.
Police allege this man struck the 48-year-old on the head with a beer bottle, before taking his phone and wallet, and fleeing the area.
The injured man took himself to Liverpool Hospital where he received treatment for cuts and bruising to his face.
Fairfield police would like to speak to a man described as being of Caucasian appearance, 30-35 years old, about 175 centimetres tall, unshaven, with a thin build and tattoos on both of his arms.
