EDENSOR Park Public School students raised almost $600 for the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Colour last week.
Teacher Kristina Najdovski said the school aimed to celebrate the event annually to create awareness and raise money for the charity.
"Every year, the SRC [school council] likes to support various charities that help our community," she said. "The World's Greatest Colour was a great way to bring awareness to an important foundation while making it an exciting day for the school community."
Seven teachers and almost 75 per cent of the children volunteered to have their hair coloured.
"The students loved seeing the teachers' hair get sprayed," Miss Najdovski said. "We've had crazy hair days in the past but it was nothing like this, the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.
