Bears were bandaged as hospital gets funds for sick kids

LAST Tuesday Kindikids Early Learning Centre at Edensor Park held an event to support the Children's Hospital at Westmead's Bandaged Bear Appeal.

Georgia Coulogeorgiou, of Kindikids, said the centre raised $3500 for the appeal.

"Our families of the service donated $1265 to the appeal, our fund-raising committee contributed $235 and Kindikids Early Learning Centres donated $2000," she said.

"It was a fantastic day and the children absolutely loved meeting the Bandaged Bear. We just wanted to raise awareness and help support the cause.

"It's something we hope to put in our calendar every year now."

Every dollar donated to the Bandaged Bear Appeal goes to help children and their families at the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

Donations provide care, fund research, establish support services and buy medical equipment and technology.
