Judges about to get down to business

THE anxious wait for local businesses hoping to be named as finalists in the 2014 Fairfield City Local Business Awards will end this week.

Businesses and their teams will be contacted throughout the week, and it will be followed by a comprehensive judging process.

Judging is carried out anonymously, mystery shopper-style.

The judging criteria is based upon a number of fundamental principles, key to a quality service experiences: the delivery of outstanding personal service; value for money relative to the product or service quality; merchandising and presentation of the product or service; and presentation of the staff and business facilities.

Customer references and extra information submitted by the finalists will also influence the selection of winners.

Major sponsors of this year's program are Club Marconi. Support sponsors include Fairfield City Council, Fairfield Forum, Neeta City, Stockland Wetherill Park, Fairfield City Chamber of Commerce, Bonnyrigg Plaza and Siena Events.

As media partner of the awards, the Champion will list the names of all category finalists as part of the special finalist feature in the coming weeks.

A full list of finalists will also be available at thebusinessawards.com.au.
