Strike force to investigate Merrylands carjacking

Strike force Powderkeg has been formed to investigate the gunpoint carjacking of a white Audi station wagon in January.

About 8.30pm January 16, a 27-year-old man stopped his car in his Merrylands driveway and briefly stepped into his garage.

When he returned to his car, he was confronted by three males in dark clothing with faces covered by balaclavas.

One of the males was armed with a gun, which he pointed at the victim, before the three males got into the car and drove off.

The car – a white 2013 model Audi RS4 station wagon with registration NBP48S – has not been seen since.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone with information about the car’s whereabouts or about the thieves.
