FAIRFIELD Harness Racing Club will hold a night meeting on Easter Monday, April 21, at 5pm.
Harness Racing NSW approved the date last week.
Harness racing NSW shut down racing at the Prairiewood track on June 28, 2004.
It then became a training centre.
Since 2005 the club has run selected meetings with Harness Racing NSW approval.
Ross Scherf was full-time secretary in 2004. He now works voluntarily.
"We once ran 31 meetings a year," Scherf said.
"With the additional date granted, we are running the Golden Easter Egg race for three-year-old fillies on Easter Monday."
Other races on the program include, heats of the Lands Legal Carousel and the Fairfield to Tabcorp Menangle Park series. "We are also looking for extra sponsors for races on Easter Monday," Scherf said.
He said the club's second meeting this year, a day time one, is on Monday, June 9.
Feature race is the annual JD Watts Memorial (2513 metres).
"We always get a good crowd for the JD Watts Memorial meeting," Scherf said.
