Youth celebration expected to draw 10,000

SEAN Ly is one of 22 festival ambassadors who are helping organise the largest Youth Week event in NSW.

The Bring It On! youth festival will be at Fairfield Showground on April 6 and attracts up to 10,000 people each year.

The Fairfield resident said the event would feature three stages of performances, food, rides, stalls and sports.

"I reckon the festival will be huge this year," he said. "Team9Lives alone will bring a big fan base because they're really involved with the community."

This is the second year Mr Ly has volunteered for the festival.

He said being an ambassador allowed him to be more involved and he enjoyed watching the project develop.

"The festival is a great initiative," he said. "Fairfield has one of the highest percentages of youth numbers in Sydney. It's good to have an event that's actually where youth are."

Mr Ly said he was proud to work in the Fairfield Youth Advisory Committee.

"I've always wanted to give back to my local community. I was born and raised here and I will always be a Cabra boy," he said.
