BOSSLEY Park ballroom dancer Kathaleen Fisher, 19, has danced her last dance — for now, anyway.
Miss Fisher, a former DanceXS student, was eliminated from the So You Think You Can Dance Australia competition on Sunday night. She made it to the Top 20, but didn't get enough votes to proceed to the next phase of the show.
She said she felt "bitter sweet" about being eliminated.
"It's disappointing to leave but I am still really proud to have made this far," she said.
"It has been such an amazing experience and I am thankful for all of the support.
"I will always love So You Think You Can Dance and I will continue to follow the other dancers' progress."
Miss Fisher said she would keep in mind the judges' advice to have more chemistry with her partner and to focus on telling a story in her dance routines. Her goal now is to make ballroom a more popular dance style.
Asked to pick a possible winner of the show, Miss Fisher said:
"I think 23-year-old jazz dancer Renelle.
" She has a beautiful soul and has been shining on the TV.
"Everyone who has been a part of the Top 20 were beautiful inside and out.
"They were never bitchy to each other — in fact they were the exact opposite."
