MARCONI Tennis Centre is holding the second of its popular school holidays camps today, Thursday and Friday at the Bossley Park complex.
Head coach Stewart Whicker and his staff are running the camps for children aged between five and 17, from 9am until 3pm.
The first camp was held last week and Whicker said it was a huge success.
"We had good numbers and with the Australian Open on in Melbourne, tennis is in the minds of the youngsters," Whicker said.
Whicker said the aims of the camps were to provide quality sports coaching, for the kids to have fun and enjoy themselves and develop their tennis skills.
This Friday a tournament will be held among participants, followed by a free lunch.
"It's all about the kids playing tennis, enjoying themselves and getting involved in sport," Whicker said.
Whicker said he hoped to attract new youngsters to tennis following the two three-day camps held in the holidays.
"The more kids we get to play tennis to boost the sport, the better," Whicker said.
