FAIRFIELD Leisure Centre will explode with excitement on Sunday when it holds its annual pool party as part of the Australia Day celebrations.
There will be free entry into the centre from 10am to 4pm with a plethora of activities planned out for attending families.
These include zorb balls, a cup and saucer ride, a DJ performing all day and staff handing out bounty packs containing Australian paraphernalia including stick-on tattoos and flags.
The centre's customer service team leader Donna Cavagnino said one of the highlights would be the aquatic play water park featuring water slides, sprays and a giant tipping bucket to entertain children.
"The zorb ball — which is a large ball that runs across the water in a blow-up pool — will also be a highlight," she said.
"It'll be the first time we're holding [this] activity here so that should be really fun for the kids."
The centre will have an ice cream truck present all day, as well as keeping its kiosk open.
Prairiewood Leisure Centre will also have a DJ as well as water rides for the children.
Entry into the pool will also be free on the day.
Both centres are reminding attendees that children aged under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
