Man missing from Westmead Hospital

Police are appealing for information to help locate a man who went missing from Westmead Hospital on Tuesday.

Seventy-one-year-old Amine Elarab, of Five Dock, was receiving medical treatment at the hospital when he went missing about 5.30pm.

Police hold concerns for Amine’s welfare as he was being treated for an injury and suffers from a number of health issues which require medication.

Police believe he does not have access to money or a mobile phone.

Amine is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, 170-175cm tall with a medium build, short grey hair with sideburns, and brown eyes.

At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a blue shirt and army camouflage cargo pants.

Amine is known to frequent the Punchbowl area and police are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Parramatta Police on 02 9633 0799.
