BRENT Dale is the principal of golf students in the Westfields Sports High School program.

The Chipping Norton man is the golf professional at Liverpool Golf Club, Hollywood Drive, Lansvale.

Radovan Marek, 12, his sister, Tamara, 14, both of Green Valley, Kura Poko, 16, of Edensor Park, and Eli Simon, 16, of Fairfield, are in the school’s golf program.

The quartet make a weekly journey to the course from their Fairfield West school for their lessons.

There are no textbooks or note pads needed.

It’s pure golf, outdoor learning run by Dale.

‘‘We run the lessons on Tuesday for 90 minutes,’’ Dale said.

‘‘They are members of our club and also play events at other clubs as well.

Kura Poko said she has gained knowledge from being a part of the program. The year 11 student got accepted into the school’s golf program four years ago and hasn’t looked back.

Kura has won many junior and club tournaments and Dale said the right-handed player has plenty of natural talent.

Kura said she has learned a more about the game since getting lessons.

‘‘Brent has improved my short game,’’ Kura said.

The teenager, who has state level junior tournaments, devoted all her sporting energies to golf.
