Family carols open to everybody

CELEBRATE Christmas with the whole family this weekend.

On Friday, the Wattle Grove Public School carols will start at 7pm.

The school has teamed up with Lifegate Church and all funds raised on the night will go back to the school.

There will be a special performance from Stew the Chef, two dance groups and Lifegate Church's live band.

School volunteers will run a sausage sizzle and sell glow sticks.

On Saturday, Carols in the Park will be held 10am-noon, at Bonnyrigg Town Centre Park.

Fairfield Council has given funds to Parkside Church to help make this year's event bigger than before.

There will be a performance by Shaggy in the Christmas monster's puppet show [pictured].

The Wobbles kids band will perform and there will be plenty of kids games and activities.

Parkside Church associate pastor Matt Le Claire said: "It's always a great event . . . our church is made up of around 50 nationalities it is a truly multicultural Christmas celebration".
