Top Keno venue
THE Fairfield Hotel was recently awarded the Best Keno Venue in Australia at the AHA National Hotel of the Year Awards. The hotel won the award for its "exceptional service" and information available to the club's patrons. The hotel's owner, licensee and general manager, Campbell Rogers, said he was thrilled to have won the award.
Two girls charged
Two girls have been charged with lighting a grass fire in Bonnyrigg on Friday. Officers received a report at about 12.40pm of two girls allegedly lighting fires in a reserve between the T-Way, Elizabeth Drive and Smithfield Road, Bonnyrigg. Fire and Rescue NSW contained the estimated 20 to 30 square metre blaze. The girls, 12 and 13, were arrested and later issued Field Court Attendance Notices for cause or set fire to property of another or crown. They are due to appear in Children's Court on December 4. Wheels fall off
Defect vehicles will be caught, police have warned. This comes after a truck driver was issued with a defect notice when two wheels flew off the vehicle while travelling south on the M7 last week.
