A team of riders from Bonnyrigg High school did the hard yards in the name of cancer research during the recent Chris O'Brien bike ride.
Held at Homebush on October 12 and 13, the event attracted 1074 participants, including the local contingent.
To take part in the fundraising ride, cyclists had to travel 95 kilometres on day one, and back up to complete 85 kilometres on day two.
The ride route was between Homebush and Camden.
While it was not a race, Bonnyrigg head teacher of mathematics, Christopher Howard finished 15th.
The school crew raised $2500 for the cause.
