The NSW government is now reviewing the speed camera in Fairfield Street to determine whether or not it should stay or whether other road safety measures could be implemented.
Fairfield MP Guy Zangari and opposition spokesman on roads Ryan Park recently inspected the camera and want to know what you think.
Mr Park said there had been only a small decrease in the number of accidents around the location.
The camera is one of five locations that will undergo a comprehensive inspection and review. Send your thoughts to firstname.lastname@example.org, send mail to PO Box 771, Fairfield 1860, or call 9726 9323.
The good oil
Fair Trading Minister Anthony Roberts spoke highly of the 7 Eleven Service Station in Polding Street, Smithfield, for compliance during a recent visit to discuss changes to petrol signage.
Previously, NSW petrol station operators only had to display the price of regular unleaded petrol on price boards that were well-lit and positioned so that motorists could easily see prices on approach, when the station was open. All petrol station price boards must now display prices for the top two selling fuels for that particular service station, as well as the price for diesel and LPG.
