ROBBIE Younis scored the crucial goal as Bonnyrigg White Eagles won the National Premier League's NSW Mens 1 grand final 1-0 against Rockdale City Suns at Centrebet Stadium, Penrith, on Sunday.
Younis's seventh-minute goal proved the difference between the two sides.
Younis scored after the Rockdale City Suns' defence failed to clear a ball from a corner, ramming home the goal from inside the penalty area.
Alexander Mansueto, who replaced the suspended Nikola Zonjic, had an outstanding game to collect the Robbie Slater Award as man of the match.
It was a happier occasion this time as the Eagles were defeated by Marconi Stallions in last year's grand final after winning the premiership.
A crowd of 8000 turned out for the grand final and the army of Bonnyrigg White Eagles fans celebrated the victory at full-time.
Following the final whistle, the victorious White Eagles coach, Brian Brown, was ecstatic.
"I am very happy indeed," Brown said.
"It has been a great season, the playing group is a phenomenal one and I am so very proud of each of the players and the club as a whole.
"The difference today between the two sides was Robbie Younis. He's one of the best strikers going around.
"It was relatively close after that, so full credit to Rockdale City Suns for their efforts."
Brown was quick to point out that he will take a holiday before planning starts for next year.
"Yes, we will have a bit of a break," he said.
"It has been a fabulous season, so we will be looking to recover a little before getting stuck into an even better 2014."
In the under-20s grand final, Marconi defeated APIA Leichhardt Tigers 2-1 while in the under-18s grand final, Blacktown Spartans FC defeated Sydney United 58 FC, 2-1.
