IF taking a live musical trip back to the 1960s sounds like your idea of a good night out, St Johns Park Bowling Club is the place to be on Thursday, September 5.
On the night veteran English act Herman's Hermits will take to the stage rocking through renditions of some of their biggest hits, including Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, Silhouettes, Dandy, Henry VIII and Into Something Good.
Herman's Hermits are without doubt one of the most successful groups of all time.
From their humble beginnings in Manchester, England, on April 1, 1964, the band went on to chalk up more than 23 hit singles, record 10 albums, appear in three major movies and countless television shows and sell out concerts all over the world.
To date, their album sales have exceeded 75 million.
Rest assured, age has not wearied the troops. Their live show is every bit as exciting as it was when the guys were top of the pops.
In fact, so in demand is the band that they still play more than 150 gigs each year.
Tickets cost $35 a person and are available from the club on Edensor Road.
