Shots fired in house
Police are looking for a man after a shot was fired during a domestic incident on Saturday at 1.55pm in Mellor Place, Bonnyrigg Heights. Police were called after a shot was fired at a man when he intervened in an incident between his son and daughter-in-law. Police said it was fired from inside the home before passing through the front door frame and out to the front yard. The 26-year-old armed man left in a silver Mazda. The car has Queensland registration plates, which include the letters 'M', 'I' and 'L'. He is of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, between 155 to 170 centimetres tall and of muscular build. He has a black 'mullet' hairstyle with a rat's tail. He was last seen wearing three-quarter jeans and a red t-shirt. Anyone who sees the man should not approach him and call triple-0. The woman was treated at the scene. The older man, who was shot at, was not injured.
Investigations continue after a man was stabbed during an attempted armed robbery at a petrol station in Fairfield on Saturday at 11.30pm. They believe a 37-year-old employee at the store on Fairfield Street was threatened by a man armed with a knife. The employee suffered a small stab wound to his shoulder as he refused to hand over money. The armed man ran from the scene empty-handed. The employee was treated at the scene. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and remains in a stable condition. Police would like to speak to a man described as having olive-coloured skin, about 183 centimetres tall, with grey hair and of a large build. At the time of the incident he was wearing blue jeans and a light blue-coloured hooded jumper.
