THOSE looking to get a deeper understanding of Bonnyrigg's rich cultural heritage will be encouraged to let their tongues do the walking on Saturday.
From 10.30am on the day the Benevolent Society's Taste Food Tours will host the Food and Faith Feast at Bonnyrigg to show off the area's many flavours.
Participants will not only be introduced to a wide range of foods but they will also learn about and visit local places of worship.
The tour will stop off at the Lao Buddhist temple and the Turkish mosque, as well as sampling fruits and sweets at the Lien Kien Asian Grocer, tasting cheese and bread at Fred's One Stop Shop and learning about spices at the Lucky Thai and Lao Restaurant.
Tour guide Zizi Charida said the event was aimed at putting Bonnyrigg on the map as a food destination.
