Plan gives Fairfield businesses a heads-up for tenders

FAIRFIELD Council has launched the Selling to Fairfield City Council program to establish further links with local businesses which are seeking tenders.

The council is planning information sessions about where business opportunities can be found and how to win the council's business. It is also planning an online local-supplier register.

"Our city is home to some of the most innovative businesses in Sydney — many of which potentially provide what the council requires," mayor Frank Carbone said.

"The council has to ensure the services and products it buys offer the best value for our community so there's still a competitive process which businesses have to go through. But by participating in this program local businesses will at least have an insight into the council's requirements."
