SENIORS, carers and their families are invited to attend the annual Seniors Day Out Expo as part of this year's Seniors Week.
Club Marconi will host it and have 38 stalls providing information and resources from 10am to 3pm tomorrow as part of the week.
There will be activities promoting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, and giveaways and workshops, and Centrelink choir will perform.
There will also be hand and neck massages and basic manicures on offer, and gentle exercises, belly dancing, Zumba and tai chi.
Fairfield mayor Frank Carbone said the event would see the launch of the council's new initiative Strategy on Ageing for Fairfield City 2013-2017.
"By launching this strategy, council hopes to address the impact of ageing and encourage our senior residents to remain independent, active and healthy," he said.
"NSW Seniors Week is a time to thank our citizens for their valuable contribution to Fairfield city and to celebrate their wisdom and experience. It is the ideal event to launch this important initiative."
Seniors Week is the largest celebration for people over 60 in the southern hemisphere. This year's Seniors Week runs until Saturday.
