A 26-year-old man is recovering from a stab wound after an altercation with two men at Wakeley yesterday, according to police.
They will allege the man was approached by two men as he walked to his silver Honda Integra which was parked near a shopping centre on Bulls Road at 2.30pm.
Police said he had a brief conversation with the pair before being stabbed to the abdomen. The pair fled the scene.
He was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he underwent surgery and is reported to be in a stable condition.
Fairfield police are continuing investigations.
They are also looking for two men who have been described as being of Asian appearance.
