STAFF at Mounties will be putting their locks to better use with a change of hairstyle.
They will either cut or colour their hair as part of the world's Greatest Shave in support of the Leukaemia Foundation.
The community can also get involved with a new hairdo in exchange for a $10 donation, by attending Mounties from 7pm to 9pm on March 15.
Mounties Club president Kevin Ingram said he was looking forward to the sixth event at the club.
"Over the years, we've had kids with rainbow-coloured hair, mums cut off their long locks and even a local fireman and his crew down here shaving their heads," he said.
"Many in our community have been affected by cancer and everyone can do their bit to help support people battling Leukaemia."
The Leukaemia Foundation has been running the World's Greatest Shave since 1998, with more than a million people participating. As part of the event, Mounties has raised almost $40,000 for the foundation in the past five years.
