MULTIDECK car parks in Fairfield and Cabramatta will soon receive upgrades after Fairfield Council decided to install automated ticketing machines.

The work will start in April.

Car parks in Fairfield's Nelson Street and Downey Lane will be fitted with the machines, as well as upgraded signage.

Cabramatta's Dutton Lane car park will also have machines installed in late April.

There will also be other Dutton Lane changes next month to improve traffic flow.

"Parking will become easier and there will be less delays during peak times," Fairfield Mayor Frank Carbone said.
