BONNYRIGG White Eagles, Sydney United 58 FC and Marconi Stallions are in this year's NSW Elite 1 Premier League season which starts on Sunday, March 24.

Before next month's kick-off, Bonnyrigg White Eagles, Sydney United 58 FC and Marconi Stallions are playing in the five-week Pre-Season Cup which started Saturday.

The round robin runs until Sunday, March 10, with the top side from each of the two pools playing in the final.

- In other news, Sydney United 58 FC have signed goalkeeper Liam Reddy for this season.

The 31-year-old played with Sydney United 58 between 2003-5 and also had stints with Sydney FC, Brisbane Roar, Newcastle Jets and Wellington Phoenix in the A-League.

Sydney United 58 FC coach Mark Rudan said Reddy has been signed as their first choice goalkeeper this season.

Rudan, 37, is a former Sydney FC player but he also spent seven seasons at Sydney United 58 between 1993-98; he also played for the national under-20s and under-23 teams.

In Super League news, Mounties Wanderers are the local team representing in competition, which starts on Sunday, March 24.

The Football NSW Super League is the second tier competition to the Elite 1 Premier League.
