Help find lost dog's owner

A FAIRFIELD Heights family is on the hunt for the owners of a black Staffordshire bull terrier found wandering in their villa complex during the Australia Day long weekend.

Elizabeth Rojas found the injured pup when she arrived home from work at about 1.30am. She said the dog, which did not have a collar, followed her to her doorstep.

"The dog had been attacked by another dog because it had a bite mark on its side," she said.

"I didn't see anyone else around so I brought it inside."

She said the pup has been staying at her house since. But she is calling on the owners to come forward and collect it.

"I took it to the vet to treat its injuries and the vet said the dog wasn't microchipped," Ms Rojas said.

"I feel so sorry for the people who lost it. We have three dogs so I know how it feels to lose a dog."

The pup is described as black with some brown patches on its body. Call 0431 245 205 or 0402 679 405.
