HERE is what you can expect to see and do:
■ First up is an Aussie Breakfast at Makepeace Oval, Fairfield from 9am to 1pm.
Organised by the Fairfield City Little Athletics Club, the "Aussie Breakfast" barbecue will also feature face painting, a jumping castle and plenty of other fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.
All gold-coin donations will go towards supporting local sport.
■ If it's music that you would rather surround yourself with this Australia Day, the Aussie Encore Music Youth Festival will take place at Horsley Park Showground from noon to 5pm.
The music festival will showcase local youth talent and will also feature a number of bands and performers from local high schools and youth clubs. Families can also enjoy a traditional Aussie sausage sizzle at the showground.
■ Also on the charity agenda is the Australia Day Barbecue that will be hosted at Freedom Plaza, Cabramatta from 11am to 3pm.
All gold-coin donations collected from the charity barbecue will go towards Westmead Hospital's Millennium Research Foundation.
■ You can expect a barbecue and family day fun at Bonnyrigg Town Centre Park from 10am to 3pm. Organised by Just Care, a charitable arm of Parkside Church, you and your family can enjoy a sausage sizzle, family games, a puppet show and various performances. Funds raised at the event will go towards Just Care's charitable work in supporting young people in need.
■ For some evening entertainment that will consist of food tasting, children's entertainment, lion and dragon dancing and karaoke, be sure to check out Canley Heights By Night at the Canley Heights Town Centre from 4pm to 7pm.
■ Weather permitting, a car show will also get your engine going at Derby Street from 4pm.
