Three men have been charged after allegedly breaking into a warehouse in Sydney’s west overnight.
Just before midnight on Wednesday, January 16, police were called to a warehouse on Woodpark Road, Smithfield, following reports of a break-in.
Officers from Holroyd Local Area Command attended and spoke to a witness who told them he saw three men enter the building.
Police from surrounding commands also attended and launched a search for the men with assistance from the Dog Unit.
Two men – both aged 31 – were found on the roof allegedly attempting to break-in, while a third man, 28, was found waiting outside in a truck
They were arrested and taken to Merrylands Police Station where they were each charged with aggravated break and enter with intent, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, and possess means of disguising face with intent to commit indictable offence.
They were given bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on February 13.
