A 19-year-old man had a miraculous escape when he crashed his car at about 200 km/h on Sunday morning.
The driver, from East Kempsey on the New South Wales north coast, allegedly returned a high blood alcohol reading when tested by police after the crash.
The man told police he had consumed 20 to 24 Jack Daniel's and cola drinks before coming to grief on the Pacific Highway south of Kempsey.
He reportedly told police he had been drinking at a Port Macquarie night club prior to getting behind the wheel of the 1991 white Holden Commodore.
It is also alleged the driver crossed double unbroken lines overtaking two vehicles before losing control.
The driver was taken to Kempsey Base Hospital due to the injuries received in the crash.
He will receive a court attendance notice to face local court once investigations are complete.
