CABRAMATTA'S Obilic Basketball Club has been invited to play against the Waratah League's Parramatta Wildcats this Saturday.
The Wildcats have been impressed by Obilic's level of play and looming talent and are currently in preparation for next year's season.
Obilic president Stevan Sipka said that the opportunity of playing against a side hailing from Australia's second-tier competition would prove to be a great experience.
``This game will be a monumental occasion for our club and we are really looking forward to it,'' he said.
``It will allow us to gauge how we stack up against one of the premier basketball programs in NSW.'' The Wildcats' head coach David Riemer is excited by the prospect of seeing his club going head-to-head with Obilic.
``Obilic must be doing some great things and we are keen to play this match and hopefully we can create an atmosphere between the two clubs,'' he said.
Tip-off will be at 7pm on Saturday, August 30 at the Auburn Basketball Centre (Wyatt Park), Church Street, Lidcombe.
